With increased safety measures in effect, Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries has reopened its nine retail stores.
Austintown, Calcutta, Hermitage, New Castle and Warren are open 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., on Sunday. Boardman, Hubbard and Liberty are open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., on Sunday.
Additionally, Goodwill’s Salem location has reopened as a store dedicated to carrying a great selection of books, antiques, furniture and select vintage clothing and jewelry pieces. Its hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and closed on Sunday.
Keeping the community’s well-being at the forefront of all decisions, Youngstown Goodwill has implemented additional precautions and enhanced sanitation procedures. Some of these measures include:
-Frequently cleaning the store throughout the day
-Limiting the amount of customers in the store at a time
-Social distancing between both staff and customers
-Storing donations for at least 72 hours before processing
-Installing plexiglass at all registers
-Using decals designating 6 feet of distance in lines
-Requiring employees and customers to wear facemasks
-Temporarily closing dressing rooms
-Temporarily closing restrooms

Donations are the core of Goodwill, and our mission work cannot continue without them. Drop-off donation bins are available at all locations to allow for a no-contact donation process. We have made the donation process safer and easier and implemented additional precautions and protective measures to ensure the health of our employees and donors.
