Now and always, the health and safety of our community remains a top priority for Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries. In an unwavering commitment to your safety, we are taking all of the necessary precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19. In an effort to keep the valued members of our community safe and informed, you can view our efforts, responses and resources below:

Youngstown Goodwill Has Reopened Its Stores

With increased safety measures in effect, Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries has reopened its nine retail stores.

Austintown, Calcutta, Hermitage, New Castle and Warren are open 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., on Sunday. Boardman, Hubbard and Liberty are open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., on Sunday.

Additionally, Goodwill’s Salem location has reopened as a store dedicated to carrying a great selection of books, antiques, furniture and select vintage clothing and jewelry pieces. Its hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and closed on Sunday.

Keeping the community’s well-being at the forefront of all decisions, Youngstown Goodwill has implemented additional precautions and enhanced sanitation procedures. Some of these measures include:

-Frequently cleaning the store throughout the day

-Limiting the amount of customers in the store at a time

-Social distancing between both staff and customers

-Storing donations for at least 72 hours before processing

-Installing plexiglass at all registers

-Using decals designating 6 feet of distance in lines

-Requiring employees and customers to wear facemasks

-Temporarily closing dressing rooms

-Temporarily closing restrooms

Our workforce development team is now taking appointments to help individuals search for and apply for jobs, build resumes and assist with other computer-based tasks. Donation Centers

Donations are the core of Goodwill, and our mission work cannot continue without them.  Drop-off donation bins are available at all locations to allow for a no-contact donation process. We have made the donation process safer and easier and implemented additional precautions and protective measures to ensure the health of our employees and donors. When you donate to Goodwill, you are doing good for your community, and we thank you.
