It’s the season of giving and Goodwill is giving back to local teachers in a very big way. Now through December 31, educators can collect up to 25 free books for their classroom by visiting any of the eight Goodwill retail store locations across the Mahoning and Shenango valley’s. This is an opportunity to show appreciation for teachers while providing a unique way to enhance classroom resources and enrich a students’ learning experience.
“Being the son of a career educator and appreciating so much the work and love teachers give to their students, we wanted to say thanks,” stated Jim Freeze, Goodwill’s Executive Director. “We also say thanks to all of those who trust Goodwill with their donations as we continue to offer employment and services for those in our community with disabilities and other barriers to employment.”
Teachers simply show proof of their profession (teacher ID or pay stub) and can choose up to 25 free books ranging from picture books to young adult novels. The books are the result of donations Goodwill collects at their nine area donation facilities.
