Hi, I’m Your New Goodwill

Do not be confused by the word, “new.” The truth is, Goodwill has been operating as a nonprofit in the Youngstown area for 125 years, serving the needs of the community since 1893. What’s “new” in 2018 is our look and feel, and a renewed commitment and excitement to continue to meet the needs of the community for another 125 years! We’re launching a campaign to tell people who may or may not know.

Goodwill Opens New Canfield Donation Center

Canfield, Ohio (April 6, 2017) – Goodwill Industries is celebrating 125 years in the Mahoning and Shenango valleys with the grand opening of its new donation center in Canfield. Located at 580 West Main Street, people can drop off donations Tuesday through Saturday from 9am to 7pm and on Sundays, 12pm to 5pm. “Donations are the lifeblood of our organization and we are excited to open this new donation center to continue to expand.

Youngstown Radio Reading Service Dedicates Studios to the Youngstown Lions Club

The Youngstown Radio Reading Service (YRRS) — a private, non-profit station that serves the print and visually impaired — recently named their studios The Youngstown Lions Digital Recording Studio in recognition of the longtime support from Youngstown Lions Club. In 2016, the Youngstown Lions Club provided YRRS with a $5,000 donation to begin the digital transition process. Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries Earns Three-Year CARF Accreditation

CARF International announced that Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries has been accredited for a period of three years for its comprehensive vocational evaluation services programs.
