Junior Group Auction a Success Under New Format

Despite changing the format of the event, The Junior Group of Goodwill Auction and Jewelry Sale was still a huge success. Over $45,000 was generated to help support Goodwill’s mission of providing job training and employment services to people with disabilities and other barriers to employment. Goodwill’s Amblyopia Program Looking for Volunteer Vision Screeners

The Amblyopia Vision Screening Program of Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries needs help in reaching as many preschoolers as possible during the upcoming school year. The program is looking for new volunteers, with an increased need in Trumbull County, to visit area preschools and conduct vision screenings on children. Training, materials and even partners are provided for the volunteer vision screenings. Screening sessions are scheduled according to the screeners availability — mornings or afternoons, Monday.

Listeners of YRRS live in Mahoning, Trumbull, Columbiana, Ashtabula, Lawrence and Mercer Counties.
